I’m passionate about working with clients who are finding a new normal, and acclimating to what life brings their way with a growth-mindset, rooted in personal acceptance and empowerment. I practice through a humanistic and client-centered lens, utilizing evidence-based approaches like ACT and mindfulness-based strategies to help you develop tools that aid in allowing you to live your most authentic life.

Grief and loss are aspects of life that everyone feels, yet, it can differ greatly for each person. Whether you’re grieving a loved one, dealing with chronic illness, caring for a partner or family member, or going through a difficult transition– finding what you need, how to hold complex emotions, and moving at your own pace are all important in these times. Together, we will find what works, and how to be in each moment, while honoring your internal world and emotional needs.

Examples of life circumstances:

  • Stress and anxiety being a caregiver to one or more loved ones

  • Stages of grief and loss impacting emotional well-being

  • Impact of chronic illness & pain which live within the biological, psychological, and social spheres that affect well-being and quality of life

  • Understanding how unhealthy relationships affect our sense of self and how we connect with others

  • Exploring how the environments we live in shape our identities, and how living in a world that assumes everyone is straight and fits into traditional gender roles can affect our well-being

I work with:

  • Adolescents & Young Adults

  • Individuals

  • Couples

  • Caregivers

  • LGBTQIA+ Identified Individuals

I specialize in:

  • Grief, loss, chronic illness

  • Anxiety & existential overwhelm

  • Identity exploration

  • Mindfulness strategies & somatic pathways of emotions

My background:

I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco (USF), and had the opportunity to work at Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area, helping support those affected by cancer and chronic illness.

I've enjoyed working as a paraprofessional with foster and adopted children experiencing behavioral challenges through a wrap-around program with Evolve Youth Services in Humboldt County. Through these experiences, I've learned that loss and grief are natural ways to experience change. Honoring the emotional realities of moving through life—and the profound pain it can bring—can open up new pathways to healing, growth, and acceptance.

I look forward to furthering my work, and gaining more experience working with couples and those who identify as LGBTQIA+.

As I have grown in this work, I have found that having a strong and healthy support network is paramount in beginning to heal, and I believe helping clients foster safe, affirming and healthy relationships is an important first step.

When I’m not working, I enjoy moving my body through various activities like running, yoga, and swimming, spending time with my partner and our animals while enjoying a game or arts and crafts, exploring new places in nature, and being with friends and family.
